What my profession is — and what it is not.
It is not about having thousands of followers*.
It is not about counting “likes” on social media.
It is not about fame, image, or constant visibility.
It is not about competition or proving superiority.
It is not about empty virtuosity, speed, or performance for its own sake.
And it certainly is not about appearances.
My profession is about a lifelong love and devotion to MUSIC.
It is about seeking truth, beauty, depth, meaning, and humanity through sound.
It is about studying, understanding, and honouring the great composers and their timeless creations.
It is about discipline, humility, patience, and continual growth.
It is about expressing what words alone cannot express.
It is about sharing MUSIC with others:
to uplift,
to heal,
to comfort,
to inspire,
to encourage,
and sometimes simply to bring peace and light into someone’s life.
MUSIC is not decoration.
MUSIC is not background noise.
MUSIC is a language of the soul.
That is what my profession as a classical pianist and piano educator truly means to me.
* Of course followers matter, and I appreciate all of them, but I would rather have just those who are truly interested in what I am doing, and truly understand my artistic vision and sincerely wish to support it, than just mere numbers.
