About Xenia Elizabeth Zilli

 

Xenia Elizabeth Zilli is an accomplished pianist and piano educator who has made an  international career as performer, and teacher of other pianists. 

 

As a pianist she posses the unique ability of 'communicating' through piano, conveying refined lyricism, deep nuanced emotions, and profound spiritual message to the listeners, as a passionate interpreter of the repertoire of the 17th (mainly Scarlatti and J.S. Bach), 18th (mainly Beethoven), and especially ever growing repertoire of the romantic 19th century (Field, Chopin, Schumann, Schubert, Grieg, Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Smetana etc.)

 

As a piano teacher and educator she possess the ability to inspire creativity and  freedom of expression, with constant motivation and encouragement that brings out the very best in her students.

Xenia Elizabeth Zilli is descended from a family renowned for its musicians and artists through several generations.

Her music personality has been moulded and most profoundly influenced by her father violinist and violist Milan Zilli, and her teachers, mentors and role models, pianists Olivera Djurdjevic, Igor Lazko, and Maria João Pires.

She studied Classical Piano Performance and Music Pedagogy at Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade, and also studied Fine Arts at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy.

Xenia Elizabeth Zilli also studied Hatha Yoga and Nada Yoga at Bihar School of Yoga in Munger, Bihar, India, after which she worked for eight years in Satyanandashram Hellas as the leading Nada Yogi and creator/organiser of Nada Yoga music contents, classes, programes, recordings and events.


Xenia is also an accomplished and multiple award winning colour therapy book author, designer, and illustrator, with 37 published colour therapy books that can be found in many book stores and libraries around the world.

One of many things that Xenia is enjoying and is accomplished at is writing. She is a natural storyteller, expertly writing about music, arts, education, self-development ... given her background and several decades long experience as a professional musician, illustrator, book author and designer, and Nada Yoga therapist - in forms of short articles, interviews and blogs.

 

In July 2022 Xenia created and founded AAM (Alternative Approach to Music) method with a very clear vision of the changes that she would like to contribute to the new world of 'teaching' and performing music through inspiring, healing, and finally empowering students/artists to express themselves authentically, to find their own artistic 'language', and thus fully develop their artistic potentials.

In January 2023 Xenia started the 'Partitura Heart-to-Heart' project in Greece, a music but also a social project, with the main aim to bring music and art closer to people from all walks of life, especially underprivileged ones and people with different means.

 
In her recent in-demand piano workshops Xenia Elizabeth Zilli combines her music knowledge with her knowledge of Yoga and Nada Yoga, and her experience as a visual artist, conducting them worldwide in prestigious music institutions, in collaboration with the world's renowned pianist, piano educators, and other world's leading professionals.

 

Xenia Elizabeth Zilli is a mentor of pianists in Europe, UK, and Taiwan.
