DEVELOPING AUTHENTIC CONSCIOUS MUSICIANS

Updated: Jul 30

Spreading a unique interdisciplinary vision and approach to music and arts around the globe - helping to develop authentic creative thoughtful conscious pianists, musicians and artists - as envisioned and inspired by Maria João Pires, and then continued being developed, adapted, altered and perfected by myself.

“I don’t like the idea of master classes because it is a little bit stiff. It’s one who knows and the others who don’t. And this doesn’t correspond to reality, because the people who are teaching, they are learning at the same time. In our workshops we do everything: everybody plays, everybody talks, gives an opinion. People start to see that there is not one truth in music.”

~ Maria João Pires

This is the mindset and the concept that served as an inspiration and a guiding point when developing my workshops - an open concept of explorative flexible learning, where there is no stereotypical teacher-student dynamics, and where all of us learn - focusing on the progress and development of the whole individual and creativity and freedom of expression, approaching that from many aspects and using different methods, as needed.

My method consists of merging -- music, arts, and 'healing' -- on all levels, with a deep understanding that creating art is a reflection of what an artist is as a whole, a reflection of their state of mind, consciousness, and energy vibration - not separate from it. Therefore collaborating with experts in those fields, serious spiritual seekers, and self-development enthusiast. A highly flexible method that is being constantly reinvented, challenged, improved ........ A step into the - future - where spirituality is incorporated into everything that we do.

We could call it alternative, but we could also call it holistic, since it focuses on the development of the whole individual, because it is only when our whole individual is being developed on all levels, that we can flourish and consequently express ourselves in music and art (and life) fully and authentically.

It is as Maria João Pires said: "You don’t learn how to play an instrument without learning how to discover music through yourself."

Thank you dear Maria for the inspiration.
