I’m thrilled to (finally) share that a Christmas Piano Recital will once again light up the Maria João Pires Hall this December. These past seven months have been filled with demanding, strength-stretching projects and family commitments, and for a moment I wasn’t sure I could make it happen.
Yet despite the whirlwind, the spirit of the season is already calling — and I cannot wait to gather together in a hall glowing with music, warmth, and Christmas magic.
This holiday season, I’ve prepared a special recital as a heartfelt gift to you all—an evening of music that is gentle on the ears and bright for the spirit. My hope is that we continue to make and share music with even greater passion, devotion, and depth, letting it illuminate our days in ways only music can.
May the power of melody touch our souls and open our hearts. May it heal, comfort, and uplift us. May it bring joy where there is heaviness, solace where there is longing, and peace where there is unrest. May it awaken understanding, empathy, compassion, and love. And above all—may it draw us closer, heart to heart and soul to soul, for the illusion of separateness has grown too small for us.
Entrance is by donation—simply give what you can. This recital reflects my ongoing wish to make music and art accessible to people from every walk of life, no matter their means.
Do come early, as the hall holds only 50 seats. If you prefer, you are warmly invited to contact me directly to reserve your place.
Mark Saturday, 20th December in your calendars, and let us gather in the glow of shared sound and shared presence.
I look forward to seeing you soon …
Love, Xenia
